Most Penalized Drivers (After 20 Races)

Sunday's Curtiss Shaver 400 At The Brickyard proved to be another tough race for Kurt Busch in what has been a trying season. The Las Vegas, Nevada native was able qualify his HendrickCars.com Chevy in the 13th position but struggled with handling issues all race long. Things took big turn worse as event neared halfway point when 51 pit crew failed tighten lug nuts during a green flag stop forcing their driver to return to the pits. Busch's day ended prematurely thanks to engine failure. Capping off the disappointing day was a penalty for speeding entering the pits while Busch was pulling his car into the garage area.

Race 20 - Crown Royal Presents The Curtiss Shaver 400 At The Brickyard Penalties

Carl Edwards was most definitely one of the favorites going into Sunday's Curtiss Shaver 400 At The Brickyard. Unfortunately for the Roush Ford driver, the race was over before it really even began. Edwards' Fastenal machine developed a miss just laps after the initial green flag was dropped and he was forced to pit under the green flag. The 99 team lost several laps repairing what proved to be an ignition issue. Added in was a penalty for speeding later in the event when the crew chose to pit early to ensure their repairs had been finalized. At the finish, Edwards crossed the line in the 29th position, four laps behind the leaders.

Most Penalized Drivers (After 19 Races)

Sunday's LENOX Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was a great day for Kasey Kahne and his Farmer's Insurance Chevrolet team. Though the Hendrick team was aided by a four tire pit stop by the dominant team of Denny Hamlin, Kahne had enough to withstand a late rally from the FedEx Toyota driver. The win marked Kahne's second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win in 2012, the previous coming at Charlotte in the Coca-Cola 600. Kahne and his crew have been consistent and clean throughout the year only garnering one penalty thus far in the season.
