2011 Year In Review: J.J. Yeley's Penalties

Nothing was constant for J.J. Yeley in 2011. Yeley found himself in three different rides between 2 different organizations during the NASCAR Sprint Cup season. The lack of consistancy and full-finding for his rides made for a long season with very few positives occurring.

Yeley started the year driving Dusty Whitney's #46 car in what was a start and park effort. Yeley started 16 of the first 17 races in 2011 with a best finish of 37th in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix. Yeley jumped over to Bob Jenkins' #38 ride at the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 and scored what was at the time a season best 23rd place finish. From that race until the season closer in Homestead, Yeley jumped between Jenkins' 38 car and the 55 car running full events in the former and start and park efforts in the latter. Yeley's best finish of the year came at Charlotte in the Bank Of America 500, a 22nd place effort.

Yeley was blackflagged by NASCAR six times in the 2011 season, four of those infractions coming in AAA 400 at Dover. In the events Yeley did attempt to run the full distance, his crew failed him only once in the Aaron's 499 at Talladega.
