Kasey Kahne faced yet another setback in Sunday's Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Kahne started the event in fourth position and looked to be a potential contender for the win. Everything went wrong on lap 127 when Kahne was caught up in an accident that also involved the previous Sprint Cup race winner, Joey Logano and David Gilliland. In the waning stages of the event, Kahne's pit crew suffered a tire violation, capping off what was a disappointing day. Kahne did not finish the race and was scored in 33rd place, 49 laps down to the race winner and HMS teammate, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
