Tony Stewart looked to have one of the fastest cars in Sunday's Finger Lakes 355 At The Glen. During a lap 27 stop under caution, Stewart's pit crew failed to move the air hose out from the front of his car giving the number 14 Chevrolet a penalty to the tail end of the field. Stewart was able to overcome the penalty as he drove back to the top 10 and then had fortune fall his way thanks to caution flags moving him to the second position. Unfortunately, Stewart made a mistake and clipped the curb off turn 10 causing him to spin and hit the wall. Stewart finished the race a disappointing 19th.
