Most Penalized Drivers (After 18 Races)

Saturday Night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coke Zero 400 proved to be one of the heaviest penalized races of the 2012 season with 43 penalties handed out. One of the biggest penalties went to Greg Biffle who had to start at the rear of the field on a restart after pitting his car when pit road was closed. The penalty was the first by Biffle or his 3M Ford Fusion race team in all of 2012. Prior to the miscue, Biffle had been one of the two favorites for most of the race, the other being his teammate Matt Kenseth. Though Biffle was able to battle back to the front by the white flag, he was unable to make it to the checkered up front as he took blame for a final lap crash that occurred off turn four. Biffle was able to cross the finish line but in a disappointing 21st place after leading 35 of the 160 laps.
